Advanced Import Options
This section explains the optional features available for importing your CAD and BIM files to the HEGIAS platform. Scaling The unit size "meter" is assumed during import. There are CAD and BIM software that use "milimeters " as the unit size. This would make a scene 1000 times larger when imported to the HEGIAS platform. This can be prevented with the "Scale Option". With the Scale functions you can scale the scene to be imported. Numbers smaller than 1 scale down the scene. NumbersFew readersShare Scene via Share-Link
The following article explains how to share your HEGIAS scene using a share link. Create a Share-Link To share a scene, first switch to the "Share" tab in the scene view. Then, click the plus icon on the right side to create a share link. The multiuser mode allows multiple authorized users to view a scene at the same time. All members of your organization as well as all users you have invited to walk through your scene via the Share function are authorized to access the scene. You can use the multiuser mode both in the browser and in VR. The following article will guide you step-by-step through the preparation process for a successful multiuser session. This article explains how and where several parts of architectural models can be joined and walked in one scene. This is especially helpful when plans from different construction companies flow together, when electricity and ventilation plans have been created separately or when an environment is to be added in addition to the model. When uploading the 3D model to HEGIAS, your model is analyzed and made available for virtual reality. During this process, the geometry is divided into the following categories: Floors Walls Ceilings Windows / Glass Stairs Others In order for the geometry to be assigned to a category, it must already be correctly marked in the CAD / 3D program. The assignment is done according to the geometry names and works in German, English and Italian. The recognition can also be deactiFew readersSet up BIMcollab for BCF Issues Management
In the following section, you will learn how to link your HEGIAS account to BIMcollab so that you can then create BCF Issues directly from the VR headset and manage them via BIMcollab. 1.
