This week we are introducing numerous improvements to the Floorplanner, a new scaling function for materials, as well as a large expansion of the tile library. Here is an overview of all the changes.

Individual Material Scaling

Type: New Feature

Materials can now be scaled directly in the material popup as desired. This allows textures to be precisely fitted to objects and surfaces – for an even more realistic appearance.

In addition, material creation has been improved: the submit button is now correctly enabled and incorrect warning messages have been resolved.

Door Direction and Hinge Side in the Floorplanner

Type: New Feature

Doors can now be configured in the Floorplanner with a door direction and hinge side (left/right) – for more realistic floor plan design and a more precise transfer into the VR scene.

In addition, the 2D representation of doors in the Floorplanner has been revised and refined.

Change Room Type Directly in the Room Edit Panel

Type: New Feature

In the edit panel of a room, the room type can now be switched directly. When the room type is changed, the room name is automatically updated accordingly.

Improved Wall Length and Corner Display

Type: Improvement

Wall editing in the Floorplanner has been improved in several areas:

• Inner wall length measurements are now displayed correctly for adjacent, collinear walls as well
• Length measurements now also appear when drawing a new wall
• Wall corners are displayed at the thickness of the thickest connected wall – for a more consistent visualisation

Live Update of the Right Panel in the Floorplanner

Type: Improvement

When an object is selected in the 3D view, the right panel in the Floorplanner now updates automatically and displays the relevant information for the selected element.

Improvements to Procasa Matching

Type: Improvement

Procasa matching has been further refined: objects are now only assigned across different manufacturers when they are Procasa products – for even more reliable and consistent results.

New Richner Tiles in the Library

Type: Expansion

The material library has been expanded with a large selection of tiles from Richner – for even more variety and choice when designing your projects.
