Vectorworks Plug-in
This article will help you with the installation and first use of the free HEGIAS VR Vectorworks 2023 plug-in. The following video includes all described steps and also gives an insight into the use of HEGIAS once a model is exported from Vectorworks and visualised with the HEGIAS App. The most important steps can be found in the second part of this support article.
the current version of the plug-in can be found under Vectorworks Partner Products. These are located under Help > Install Partner Products...
Under BIM the plug-in appears under the name HEGIAS VR - building imagination . Via the button Install the plug-in is downloaded and installed automatically. Vectorworks must then be restarted.
After successful installation, you will find the plug-in under File > Virtual Reality HEGIAS
Open the plug-in under File > Virtual Reality HEGIAS. You now have three options:
Try HEGIAS VR for free! - Select this option to try HEGIAS VR for free without an account. For more information on the test import, see the support article on HEGIAS VR test import. For details on recommended IFC export settings, see the Vectorworks Support Article.
Create HEGIAS account - Select this option to create a free HEGIAS account.
Login with existing HEGIAS account - Select this option to log in as a registered HEGIAS user. You can now add your model directly to a project. For more details on the recommended IFC export settings, see the Vectorworks Support Article.
The HEGIAS Vectorworks plug-in is compatible with Vectorworks 2021 SP3 or newer. If you are using an older version of Vectorworks, please use the normal HEGIAS Upload via the internet browser.
