Uploading a new object into the library
If you want to use your own 3D objects in HEGIAS VR, you can load them into your private library. The private library is available from subscription level Medium.
If you want to change for example the thumbnail of an uploaded object or assign it to a library category, visit this article regarding the settings for 3D-objects inside the library.
Navigate to the upload dialogue under Library (1) > Objects (2) > + (3).
Drag the desired 3D model and associated material textures into the Upload window (4)
Confirm the input with Next (5)
In the next step, give your object a name.
Close the upload with Create.
GLB
FBX, OBJ, DAE (for 3D objects)
PNG, JPEG (for associated material textures)
Objects marked with VR-Ready or Low-Poly are best suited for use with HEGIAS VR. The geometry should be optimised and reduced as much as possible.
Polygon count: max. 10'000 polygons per object are recommended.
Maximum texture resolution: 2048 x 2048 pixels
Supported Material Maps: Diffuse, Ambient Occlusion, Roughness, Metallic, Normal.
Unit: Metre (models in other units can be scaled during import).
