Library - Overview

When you open the library in the HEGIAS Editor, you have access to all available objects, materials and lights that you can use in your scene.

The library is a central component of scene editing and helps you to quickly find content and use it efficiently in the scene.

Below is an overview of the most important areas of the library.

Library - Overview

  1. Library types

In the upper area of the library, you can switch between different content types:

  • Objects: Furniture, sanitary products, fixtures, plants and other 3D objects.
  • Materials: Surface materials such as wood, concrete, textiles or colours.
  • Lights: Light sources for targeted illumination of your scene in the Navigator.

Depending on your selection, the available filters and search results will adjust automatically.

  1. Adding content to the library

You can use the plus symbol to add additional content to the library, for example:

  • Your own objects
  • Your own materials

The added content will then be permanently available in your private library.

  1. Search & Filter

The search and filter functions help you quickly find the right item, even in extensive libraries:

  • Text search: Search by name, type or tag.
  • Category: Search by category (e.g. ‘Living room’, “Bathroom”, ‘Kitchen’).
  • Manufacturer: Restrict results to specific manufacturers.
  • Dimensions: Filter by length, width, height and depth.
  • Tags: Search by ‘tags’ assigned to objects (e.g. “Medical” or ‘Light’).

You can reduce the filter view with ‘Less filters’.

  1. Options

In the Options area, you can also filter by private objects from your organisation.

The available content and functions of the library may vary depending on user role, project or licence.
