# HEGIAS.simulator – The Tablet Menu at a Glance

In the HEGIAS.simulator, a tablet menu guides you through editing your scene and adjusting settings. Use the icons on the left edge to switch between areas. Here you'll find an overview of all functions.

## Viewpoints
Save specific views of your scene so you can return to them at any time.

**Adding a Viewpoint:**
* Tap **(Add)**. A full-screen preview opens.
* Zoom in on the desired section if needed.
* Tap **(Take Photo)** to create the Viewpoint. It is named automatically.

When you later select a Viewpoint, you return to the exact camera angle that was active when it was created.

**Editing Viewpoints:**
Activate edit mode using the switch (Toggle).

* **Pinning:** You can pin a view. The icon is shown filled in and the preview moves to the first position (top left). Only one Viewpoint can be pinned at a time.
* **Reordering:** Select a Viewpoint and drag it to the desired position via drag-and-drop.
* **Deleting:** Tap the trash icon.

To exit, switch edit mode back off using the toggle.

## Perspectives & Layers
Switch between different scales and views of your scene.

* Select a scale: **1:10**, **1:50**, or **1:100**.
* Once a scale is active, you can additionally show or hide **(Show Model)** and **(Show User Positions)**.

## Multiuser
Invite other people into your scene and work together.

* Use **(Join)** to join a shared session.
* Under **Users**, you can see who is currently in the scene with you.
* Use the microphone icon to control your voice transmission.

**Joining a scene via ShareID:**
A ShareID lets other people join a scene more quickly. The following video shows how it works:

* **Rotate:** Align the object.
* **Scale:** Adjust the object's size.
* **Duplicate:** Create a copy of the object.

## Object Library
Place furniture and objects in your scene.

* Switch between **(Public)** and **(Private)** at the top to show public objects or your own.
* Open a **(Category)** to browse the available objects.
* Tap an object to view details such as its name and dimensions (width, height, depth).

**Navigation:** The library remembers where you last were. Return there via the main menu. To get to the category overview, tap the page title at the top left (marked with a border on sub-pages).

## Material Library
Assign materials such as wood, stone, tiles, or colors to your surfaces.

* Switch between **(Public)** and **(Private)** at the top.
* Open a **(Category)** to browse the available materials.

**Navigation:** As with the object library, the view remembers your last position. Use the page title at the top left to return to the category overview.

## Tools
Measure distances directly in your scene.

${youtube}[Simulator - Measurements](JEvsvyGNyvU)

* **Point-to-Point:** Measure the distance between two points.
* **Perpendicular:** Measure at a right angle to a surface.
* **Reset:** Removes all measurements.

Measurement labels lie flat against the respective surface and adjust their size automatically based on your distance. Measurements can be undone and redone (Undo/Redo).

## BCF Issue Management
Capture and manage annotations (Issues) directly in the scene.

You have three options:
1. Create a new BCF issue via **(Add)**.
2. Scroll through the list or use the status filter to find existing issues.
3. Select an existing issue to review its details or edit information.

|| If the message "BCF Authorization failed" appears when opening, you lack permission for BCF access. In this case, please contact your administrator.

## Grouping
Combine multiple objects into a group to edit them together.

${youtube}[Simulator - Grouping](s9wof5aA0SQ)

**Creating a group:**
* Select an object and tap **(Group)** in the action menu.
* If the object does not yet belong to a group, a new group is created. If it already belongs to a group, that group is loaded and displayed.

**Adding objects:**
* Tap the desired objects directly in the VR scene to add them to the active group.
* The group stays active until you deselect the **(Group)** button, switch to another area, or close the action menu.

**Saving:**
* A group is saved automatically as soon as it contains at least two objects.
* A group with only one object is not saved. If a group is reduced to one object, it is dissolved.

**Removing objects:**
* Activate the **(Edit)** switch. A trash icon appears on each object, letting you remove it from the group.

## Saving and Undoing
In most areas, you'll find the following at the top right:
* **Undo / Redo**
* **Save**
