BMS - HEGIAS-Introduction for bathroom consultants

This article provides a summary overview of how to use the HEGIAS applications within the BMS Bathroom Planner.

1. Starting the HEGIAS.Editor

Open the Bathroom Planner via the provided HEGIAS link in your browser.
After logging in, select the BMS Badplaner organisation in the "Organisation" dropdown to manage your projects and scenes.
Then, in the further dropdown menus, you can select the desired project and scene to start the Editor.

2. Working in the Editor (tasks and tools)

After starting the Editor, the following tools and functions are available to you. See also: Object editing - Designing the scene

• Set viewpoint

Save specific camera perspectives to switch quickly between views. See also: Creating viewpoints in the HEGIAS.editor (web view)

• Using a surface as a pre-wall / bathtub support

Use surfaces to model and align pre-wall installations or bathtub supports.
The process is explained in more detail here: Surface material and surface editing

• Replace products (6)

Swap placed products directly in the Editor for other variants or models.

• Group objects

Group several elements to move or edit them together.
Hold down the Shift key and select multiple objects, or drag a selection box by pressing the CTRL key and the left mouse button.

• Magnet function (7)

Activate the magnet function to align objects precisely to walls, surfaces or other building elements (snapping).

• Import of USDZ and IFC files

Import models in USDZ or IFC format to create your own scenes. See also: Importing scenes to the HEGIAS platform

• Advanced import options

If you want to materialise all walls of your scenes individually, you can already define this during import on our pipeline in the "Materialisation" dropdown.

• Copy and move scenes

In the project overview, you can easily copy scenes or move them to another project by clicking the "3-dots" icon next to the name.

• Connect a wishlist

Connect your product wishlist to the project to take over products directly from the library. See also: Linking a wishlist

• Share a scene

Share a scene with other project members or partners to work on it together. See also: Sharing a scene via share link

• Filters for products and materials

In the library menu, you can activate filters to search specifically for products, materials or categories. See also: Library - Overview

3. RoomScanner

BMS bathroom consultants should sign in to the "BMS Badplaner" organisation and create a project for themselves there.

5. Troubleshooting in the RoomScanner

Problem: Organisation or object cannot be selected
Solution:
Open the Settings in the app, sign out once and then sign back in.
This refreshes the connection to the organisation.

6. Issues detected on 3D models in the Editor

Problem: 3D model contains errors or does not look like the selected product
Solution:
