Adapt objects - Productvariants
Many objects in the HEGIAS library have variants that allow you to flexibly customise features such as colour, material or model type.
This allows you to optimally tailor an object to your design without having to reposition it.
Below is an overview of the most important functions.
- Adapt object
Select an object in the scene to open the object panel on the left.
Use the ‘Adapt object’ button to further configure the object, provided that variants are available.
- Variant overview
Objects with available variants are marked accordingly in the library.
After selecting such an object, you will have access to all associated versions, for example:
- different colours
- alternative materials
- different design or model variants
The number of available variants is displayed directly next to the object.
- Display variants
The possible variants can be displayed in two ways:
- ‘Select’ shows the individual options as drop-down menus.
- ‘Grid’ displays all product variants arranged side by side.
- Variant properties
Depending on the object, different properties are available, for example:
- Colour/surface: selection from predefined material or colour variants
- Attachments: for example, handles for cabinet doors
The available options depend on the respective manufacturer and object.
