RoomScanner - Overview

With the HEGIAS RoomScanner app, you can scan rooms directly with your smartphone and automatically create a 2D floor plan or a 3D model.

The app guides you step by step through the entire scanning process.

Roomscanner Overview

Open the HEGIAS RoomScanner app on your iPhone.

On the home screen, you can tap Start scan to scan a new room.

Alternatively, you can access Partner Login or Settings in the menu at the top right.

You can log in with your HEGIAS account via the Partner Login menu item.

If you do not yet have an account, select Create account to register.

Tap Start scan to begin the scanning process.

Follow the instructions on the screen and move slowly through the room.

Once the scan is complete, you can give your scan a name (e.g. Ground floor kitchen-diner).

The scan is automatically saved in Scan history.

Use the Scan history button on the home screen to find all saved scans with the date and time.

Tap on an entry to view details or edit the scan.

When you open a scan, the following functions are available:

Switch between the 3D view and the 2D floor plan.

Under Notes, you can save comments or notes about the room.

The room area and room height are also automatically displayed in this area.

Under Images, you can add photos of the room.

These are saved together with the scan.

Download a PDF of the 2D floor plan to your mobile phone.

Select the project and organisation to which the scan should belong.

Tap Export to export the scanned 3D model.

You can upload the scan directly to HEGIAS via Upload.

The scan is then uploaded as a scene to the selected project in the HEGIAS platform.
